7:00 AM Gates Open (Red And Green Gates) kabadtrip nung opening ng gates dahil maling ticket yung binigay samin.. free seating yung binigay. like hello, sabi nga ni chiqui bakit kami pipila sa Green Gate kung hindi kami Patron. Asar talaga eh. Wish ko lang, the PJMA team should have instructed the Araneta People of the schools and their designated seats.

8:00 AM – 8:30 AM Opening Ceremonies
Opening Prayer
National Anthem
Acknowledgement of Schools -akalain mo yun, bibigyan nila ng ibang twist? nag-say hello samin ang dalawang rapper na hindi man masyadong known.. eh okay naman, nakakaentertain naman..

kaso typical yung alam mo nang rap,

"Clap your hands everybody, Everybody just clap your hands here we go!" o kaya naman...

"When i say hey, you say yow!"

"Hey hey!" "Yow!" "Hey hey!" "Yo!"

"Itaas ang kamay ng mga taga St. Scho!" "WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
may dugtong pa kasi eh, "Raise your hands in the Aiiiir, Wave 'em like you just dont caarreee"

hehehe...

Welcome Remarks Mr. Alex Flores
President, Philippine Marketing Association

You'd never expect Sir Alex in a bright Yellow polo, a cap na nakasuot sideways, parang hiphop at ang unang words na lumbas sa bibig nia...

"yow, yow, yow!!!!!!" wahahahaha.. talaga naman! kinarir ng lahat ang pagiging bata!

8:30 – 9:30 AM
“Strike a Pose: Iconic Cool among Today’s Youth”

April Timbol Yap
Deputy Director, Insights Mind Share
Teens as trends bridges, bring in trends from other places into their circle. We can show the position of these trend bringers to a matrix and discuss their media and marketing implications.

i noted some of her points in my planner:

Youth of 2008 --- "What is Cool?"
1. be yourself
2. Not Normal, Eccentric
3. Technology
4. Cool is a matter of perception
5. Books/Reading
6. Beach
7. Videogames
8. Sports
9. Learning New Things
10. ACHIEVING HIGH GRADES
11. Hang out with Family
12. Bar Hopping

9:30 – 10:30 AM
Point of Entry Marketing: Introducing Allue to tweens (Case Study)”
Jade Manalaysay-Tulio
Vice-Presidents for Marketing
HBC Home of Beauty Exclusive Inc.
Chain of Retail Store

Girls as early as three years old, reach out for Mom’s make-up and wear her shoes. Being a strong challenger in the masa make-up market, HBC’s corporate strategy is to start influencing the future cosmetic users early through a hip personal care brand relying on the pestering power of kids to parents..

Sorry to say Ms. Tulio, but we went out sa buong talk mo.

Which is all wrong.

10:30 – 11:30 AM

“Is Branded Advertising the New Advertising?”
March Ventosa
Head of Marketing ABS-CBN
This talk will attempt to tackle the audience through the new world of branded entertainment. What is it all about, its
Role in production and the brand sponsor and how this is currently engaging today’s consumers – the audience.

Capoeira dudes were dancing sa introduction ni Sir Ventosa. Kaso medyo, hindi sha game in making a fool of himself kaya medyo hindi well choreographed and entrance nia.

But still made me ADMIRE in a whole new level ang ABS-CBN.
People who actually know me can tell na hindi ako mahilig manuod ng Local Networks.

WHOOO LALA!!

okay pinakapoint ng kanyang discussion is that advertisers are now reaching their target market through programs. It works both ways sa Network and sa Advertiser kasi every minimal ang cost ng Network for Production because the advertiser shoulders all the cost. In return the Advertiser gets its own share of Publicity and Good Will sa Market... waaaaaa... grabeh talaga.. sobrang galing ng people ng ABS-CBN 360.

TAKE NOTES.

BOW.

KOWTOW.

President, Center for Learning and Teaching Styles Philippines
To open wide the gates of our future, we must breaks free from the chains of myths and fallacies that shackle our vast potentials as geniuses in our own rights. This presentation will give insights to sharpening genius potentials plus a glimpse of what waits the graduate.

He was the most inspiring of all haha..

i had quoted him in my doodle notebook saying:

"We are all geniuses, take it or believe it"

"Success is fleeting" kaya we have to regulate it with Humility.

"Walk the talk of a great communicator"

"BELIEVE IT, EVEN REALITY WOULD BELIEVE IT TOO."

Being an educator himself, he discussed the Importance of Humor in classroom setting and he suggested several points in having yourself as a brand.

To end this uber long blog post, i'd like to quote professor Henry Tenedero..

"What have you done today to make your life more meaningful?"

Thank you for your inputs and comments on my talk that i will consider in the development of my next speaking engagement. It is just quite unfortunate that you went out because the meat of the talk was in the middle. You see, i used the case study format (using our brand Allue) to illustrate my point about Point of Entry Marketing : Marketing to Tweens.I am sorry and i apologize if it appeared "too commercial"and the first lines were "declamation"-ish because it was just my style.
if you are interested still on the topic, i can give you a full copy of my speech and powerpoint, please do email me at jmtulio@hbc.com.ph

    Thank you

    Jade
