Les Caraibes: Ranked as No.3 in all Laiya Beaches

Yes, I was too lucky to be able to hit the beach before I get enslaved by the corporate world again. It was another long weekend, August 21-23... I had to spend overnight at Les Caraibes and then travel to Tagaytay to meet my cousin for another night there... Phew! Talk about a stressful vacation...

But what the heck, I can do this while Im still young and energetic, right?!

Laiya was soooooo far than I expected it to be... coming from Las Pinas, its more easier to go to Puerto Galera than Laiya.. I guess the big difference is the crowd, the sea and the accomodation itself.

The crowd of Laiya ranges from families and couples.. its a place that brings intimacy.. the people are a bit high endish and its not overpopulated! In Puerto Galera, the people are noisy, drinking and going wild.. i have no problems with it.... its just that in Galera, its more like a trying hard Boracay, trying to be a Sin Island pero namaaaaan... not even close to Bora nuh..

Anyway...it was a great choice that I reserved a night in Les Caraibes, its a new beach resort in the strech of Laiya.. The Beach is sooooooooooo pretty and clean, with white sand of course........ its a bit rocky the day we went but then the next day when we went out snorkling, wala na naman masyado ung big rocks....

The accomodation is clean and very homey.. kaso, for the price of P2500 (good for 6 people), i wished there was TV man lang....

The best thing about Les Caraibes is probably the owner, Ms. Len Haddadin and Chef Philippe! Chef Philippe served the best dish I ever tasted while Im on vacation! We ate Morrocan Chicken and Tiger Prawns in Lemon Juice and Garlic (I think) and I wannna wannna come back for more!!

I also love the presentation of the meal, just like this!

Ms. Len was sooooooooooo kulit! We found her enjoying a drink at the bar that night and we spent about 2 hours chatting! She enjoyed Jed's flairtending performance and she gave him a free drink (which actually made him soooo drunk!!! This is the first time because Jed has high alcohol tolerance! ewan ko lang baket siya tinamaan sha Absinth, plus 4 more cocktails. The pulutan was on the house too! Overflowing Mojos and Mangga at Bagoong! :)

By the way, the Red Coral necklace and bracelet was from a local vendor, he was a Badjao and was selling authentic accesories.

You might ask how sure am i, he did this mini test of lighting the accesories with fire! Plated and plastic accesories could have melted but this one even glowed in redness... it was pretty. Jed bought it as a gift for me, and to help the vendor narin for their gas daw kasi.

It was a great mini-summer expe again...jed and i went snorkling (for the first time) and it made our stay enjoyable... wala man corals at least we had the chance to stay underwater longer... hehehe..

ang itim-itim ko for this overnight stay! grabeh, feeling tan ako well in fact, NEGRA talaga ako!

Les Caraibes definitely deserved the No.3 spot for the best food and beach front accomodation!

Annulment Case + Food Caravan @ Sunken Garden QC Hall

And you might be asking what am I doing in Quezon City.

Annulment
I was accompanying Tita Deeds, Jed's mom to submit annulment papers of Tita Avy, Jed's Aunt.

Well, should I say, annulment is a very costly case. I think Tita spent P180,000 for the whole process.

Ive read the resolution of the Judge and was quite shocked of its format.

Very detailed kwento pala ang andon? As in aside from dates, the attorney carefully crafts a story that would sound so appealing to the reader, you will soon hate the husband talaga.

Pero their call was "both were psychologically incapacitated." Pano ba naman, after 2 months of being "On" they married agad. Tita is working as a stewardess so "she cannot fulfill her matrimonial duties" and on the other hand, the husband "started using drugs and started womanizing" amfness.

Mas detailed pa dun sa resolution pero yun na nga, sabi nga ni Tony Gonzaga, "how can something so wrong feel so right" siguro ang drama nila nung start palang ng relationship.. matagal din sila, I think 8 years.

Tita Avy is now married for a year with Tito Rich, a NYPD cop. Jed and I saw the former husband in SM bacoor who, is by the way, also married with I think an 8 year old kid. He looked like a fisherman! literally! (cheap seaman)

QC Hall Employees
Kapansin-pansin na ang mga TOMBOY sa QC City hall was very irritable and acting like ewan. Maybe they're in the stage of their life when they experience MENOPAUSE.

Very vague magbigay ng instructions yung nasa Window 7 ng Marriage Division ng Civil Registry Office. She's a tomboy.

Then she transferred us to Window 6, pumila daw.

Enough of this crap.

Food Caravan
May project ang QC non held at the Sunken Garden and should I say we enjoyed the free taste and all the products lined up.

Donations

This time, i felt, for the first time, sympathy with another man asking for
donation.

He was from Bayan Muna, isang manggagawa na humihingi ng tulong upang ituloy ang laban nila sa isang multinational corporation. Although I cannot fully understand his statements, I felt his pain.

if dog is to man, SALE is to a WOMAN.

Yes. SALE is a woman's bestfriend :)

and all over the metro, malls are on their MIDYEAR sale, including your favorite brands Mango, Zara and my new admired brand CHARLES & KEITH. (special mention to Abbey Rosete who has been bombarding her closet with C & K shoes).

Being the bargain shopper that I am, I have never ever tried entering these stores before... I dunno, i have this perception that I cant afford the items (or say, there's no items for my size so I need not spend much for non fitting items.) and also, I hate branded items for the sake of wearing them for the brand.

One of my friends, Tina Leonardo, who's a MANGO FANATIC has been continuously promoting the brand to me. She also tipped me that I should visit the stores during SALE and the time has come to pave a visit to these stores....

Damn! There were shirts with price tag of P189! yes believe me, the banketa imitations cost much pa nga eh!! eheheh. there were trousers at P500, foxy shorts at P899, T-shirts for P699 and whole lot more!

New Arrival Items are now available in both Zara and Mango Outlets.

HOW I MET CHARLES & KEITH

I was in Mall of Asia one time when the
House and Trance Music of the boutique flied me inside the store. The next thing I know I was drooling over the shoes and the bags and I couldnt wait for my very first purchase!

The day finally came, I was in Rob Galleria for an interview with their Commercial Centers Division (Mall Admin). After the exam and interview, that was 2pm... I decided, even thought my feet was killing me, to stroll around. I then checked out Charles & Keith and fell in love with this shoes.

For the first time, there were no smaller size that would fit me. the other color were red and gray but I wanted this one!

SAD me, I then decided to check out other boutiques but I cannot replace the Beige C&K pair in my mind...

I needed diversion, so I bought a P100 worth of Gelato. I felt like i was a loser. I was sitting alone in the middle of the mall licking my ice cream and dreaming about the pretty shoes that does not fit me....

Side story: The ice cream tasted sooo great, it took my mind off from the shoes for 15 minutes.. There were also cool flavors like our favorite alcoholic sweets Bailey's and Kahlua flavor :)

Then poof! The ice cream did not became Koko Krunch, but I had a great idea! Why not ask the sales people to determine which branches have the stocks for the said shoes??? Crossing fingers that there's a pair in MOA....

After calling up their branches, courtesy of Aldo phones (Are they sister companies?) I found out that there's a pair in Powerplant! Believe it or not, I havent been there.. so it would be my first time for both C&K and Powerplant mall...

Ending...

Yey! My first pair of C&K shoes plus a winter fall collection catalog! great! more to drool on...

Side story: I also want to say that Juicy Couture Watches is available in
RObinson's Dept. Store and are 10% off!!!! woot!

I CHOOSE JUICY. AND CHARLES & KEITH TOO!

are there any more jobs out there that does not entail doing SALES?

I got an "A" in Sales Management when I was in College, but i dunno why I am sellophobic. (fear of selling :))

I got an offer in an Advertising Agency last month and the position is Account Executive, which uhmm, i thought would entail client servicing, organizing and coordination for their events/advertising/pr stints.. but then, step 1 demands that I find my own clients.. I have to do telemarketing, then company pitching and aim to bag small accounts of big companies..

boils down to SALES again...

yesterday, i attended an interview at an International HRM school and the position was Events Specialist. I thought, "well, i'd probably bag this job, since my former events management professor endorsed me for this position"

little did i know that again, the position is a Sales Executive job. You will be in charge of banquet (formal dinner) sales for the company. I have to find my own clients, then customized the events for them, do necessary coordination for the design and for the food and beverage staff.

I was asked how much do I expect for salary, I blatantly say, P13,000-P15,000 and the HR officer said,

"you will be paid P50,000/monthly if you reach your quota sales."

That's one of the reasons why I least like sales, I will be pressured to reach monthly quota. And by reaching that quota, you have to spend overtime finding and meeting clients, you have to attend to them even on weekends and during holidays...so in short, you'll have to throw your personal time away in exchange of the big bucks.

I dunno if the school/company would give me a ring back. But I guess I'll get that job. I will be paid monthly basic I think.. at least I have the opportunity to reach P50,000 a month.

I also got an offer from Mazda Alabang.. again, as a Salex Executive. Basic monthly plus commissions whenever I close a deal. But my dad was SOOOO supportive, telling me that sales was the hardest job in the world, and that it would be very hard for me... blah blah blah..

If I were him, I would have boosted the confidence of my daughter so that she'll have enough experience which will be useful in the future for our own company. duh.

PR AGENCIES

I took an exam at Perceptions Inc, a public relations firm and their opening was for Media Relations. I am still waiting for any confirmation.

I also took an exam at Geiser Maclang and I knew I did great, its for a Writer Position and should I say I did a very creative and weird marketing communications plan for ICE.

yes, the product choices was either RICE or ICE and I decided to make a plan for ICE. No need to expound.

Its already August and I really want to start working now.

SHOULD I TRY SALES?

Siguro. Besides, the position wouldnt be created if the company is not saleable, right? it maybe hard... but I have nothing to lose at of this moment. maybe I need to start sacrificing in order to earn a lot and start helping out at home.. my parents may not demand me yet but they're not getting younger..

I need to make a bold move as of the moment and start building a profitable career for me contribute in our financial monthly dues, especially now that we have to pay for the new house we bought.

I NEED TO START WORKING THIS AUGUST and that's FINAL.
