This event happened last Friday.. and it made my decision more firm.. to leave my current work and look somewhere with more enjoyable work load and more stimulating bosses....

It was around 5pm.. I was giving my male boss updates on my tasks that day and as expected... I gave me suggestions on other aspects of the firm...

okay, let me clear this. The firm is run by 2 bosses with two staff...meaning apat lang kami sa office.. so dont you think okay lang na magsuggest ako? Mukhang YES naman diba? Kasi kung hindi, bakit pa ako sumali sa firm na yon, eh ang ultimate goal ko is to increase revenues.... as in duh? Marketing Exec ka na waiting lang lagi sa utos? Thats not my style eh.. Im usually the one suggesting and bringing changes.. not the one following formulaic orders na alam mo namang maraming glitches..

So I was reminding the male boss of his deliverables that I have been waiting for around two weeks now... after that I suggested that we make an AVP for our seminars....

Seminars are usually boring and I thought of spicing things up, especially that the firm was a law firm.

I then suggested that we play the OBB of crossing borders, his show, then play our very own production. The AVP should contain testimonials of former clients... so that the audience would have an idea what the firm is about and how extensive our services are.......

Incidentally, Angel Locsin was a former client.. and I dunno.. I guess they had a thing... you can read the story here

SO I was like talking about who the audiences are, some bagets who would definitely fine Angel Locsin a force of nature that can draw them closer to our company...

When suddenly, my female boss called me shouting.......................

"Diane!! Diane!! HALIKA DITO............."

i then walked towards her cubicle and she started her monologue..

"you dont, in any way, drag Mike's name with those ARTISTAs! Its sooo cheap! at alam mo yang Angel Locsin na yan, kahit itanong mo pa sa kaniya, siya ang text ng text ng kung ano-ano kay Mike....."

"We dont go for people like Angel Locsin dahil si Angel Locsin ay gusto ng mga masa, ang mga masa are poor people without dreams anD without money and they cannot afford our services!!!!"

"I did not work hard for the marketing of this firm for three years, para lang makita si Mike na nagguguest sa Wowowee..! If we have anything to do with entertainment that would be with Mike's mom only... DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!!!!!!!"

I was smiling althroughout her monologue.

Duh? It was out of line, my suggestion was having an avp featuring our clients.. and she started her 15-minute monologue in front of me about her hatred towards angel locsin?!!

Is she sick or what?

She is the kind of person who is called a DIRECTOR because she simply invested in the firm.. Okay whatever.. she might have worked for 3 years only.. but all of their clients are from referrals only.. I am the one doing the fieldwork and personal selling for them and I cannot bear the fact that my bossess are wayy too ugly... They are very plastic and very elitist...

after the whole thing... I went back to my computer to "kunwari" encode what she has said... and she was like...

"Diane di ako galit sayo ha? I just hate Angel Locsin...and entertainment"

Sabay banat na.... in a very sarcastic tone.."Oh diba, wala naman tayong ginagawa, diba may MARKETING Plan yan si Diane, bakit hindi nalang natin siya ipagpresent?!! Diba?"

Si Sir naman, "ano ka, may powerpoint pa yan?!"

ako naman, nakatalikod sa kanila at bumubulong ng TANGINA NIYO.. SOLID.

In Conclusion

I therefore conclude na ayaw ng babaeng boss na yon ng mga Batang Bibo na laking Tiki-Tiki katulad ko.. Maybe I am fit for a creatives agency or a multinational corporation... because my ideas are way tooo out of this world for them....

Mind you people, of course I take into consideration our budget and all of my suggestions are quoted in their lowest rates possible.. is she threatened of me? Is she insecure? First time lang ba niya makakita ng marketing plan? Di ba sha marunong gumawa non para magkaroon naman ng direction ang events and marketing dept na hawak niya kuno?

Tangina. kung ayaw niyo ng growth pwes maging stagnant kayo sa 1million revenues ninyo in a year. cheap. 1 million na kayang kitain sa gomahan ng tatay ko in 3 months. taena.

Basta ako, absent ako ngayon dahil maghahanap na ako ng bagong trabaho. Bow.
